  • Insect repellent—it is the rainforest, so be prepared.

  • Hats, sunglasses, UV protective clothing for the midday sun especially at the beach.

  • Light-weight summer clothes—the south Caribbean coast is hot and humid

  • At least one long sleeved shirt or sweater and pants—while the beach is warm, the mountainous Central Valley region can get chilly.
